Sweet Baby

This is the card I'm submitting for the challenges at http://cutecardthursday.blogspot.com/ and http://thecuttlebugspot.blogspot.com/ It's also one of the cards we'll be making at our class this month! I love how sweet it turned out and it's perfect for the class theme of "Flower Power". The 3x3 card is mounted on the card base. And between the flower and the pop dots I used for the layering I think it has plenty of dimension which was the theme for Cute Card Thursday! And with it's pink, green, and white color scheme it met the requirements at The Cuttlebug Spot! I hope you enjoy it!

Thank You Tags!
My friend, Saundra (a chiropractor) generously adjusts me for free so I'm always offering to repay her in any way possible. She finally took me up on the offer! She asked me to make her 30 thank you tags that she could tie to some hand-dipped pretzels she was making for a luncheon. Here is what I can up with! First I punched a small daisy in white cardstock. I punched a 1/4" circle in yellow for the center of the flower. Next I punch a 3/4" circle in red cardstock. I added that to the center of the "thank you" stamp from SU. I punched that image out using my 1" circle punch and adhered it to a 1 1/4" circle punched from yellow cardstock. I used my SU small and large tag punches to make the tags. I used a pop dot to adhere the yellow circle to the tag and give it some dimension.
And here is how the finished product looks!
How cute are those! I'm so glad I could help out and I was really happy she was pleased with the finished product!

Wishing You a Joyous Easter!

This is the card I made for the challenge at http://caardvarks.blogspot.com/. The theme was "Lacy Days" and you were to create a card using lace. I'm very happy with the finished product! I wanted to make a Easter card but I'm not really into the whole bunny and Easter eggs theme so I went with something a little more springy. I love how even with all the layers I was still able to keep a clean palette by limiting my color scheme. I'm not a big phoo-phoo girl so even with the lace it was a clean and simple card! Always the kind I like to make. Hope you enjoy it!

The Color Dare Challenge
So this week at the http://colordare.blogspot.com/ the challenge was to make a card using these colors:

Here is my contribution!

First I stamped my image in white ink and colored it in with a white gel pen. Then I stamped the flower on the pink and the green, using some of the green pedals for leaves. I really like to hand cut parts of an image and pop them to give them some dimension! Flower are perfect for that! It's such a simple technique and really makes a difference! I thought this card turned out really cute and I hope the recipient feels the same way! All products are from SU! Thanks for looking!

If You Had Wings...

This is the card I made for the Cuttlebug Challenge at http://www.thecuttlebugspot.blogspot.com/
The theme was "If You Had Wings.." If I had wings I would maintain a kind of summer even in the middle of winter! I used the SU Beautiful Butterflies die and cut the butterflies in a printed paper layered on Blue Bayou cardstock. I embossed my bottom layer and then sponged some Blue Bayou ink on to make the image "pop". The ribbon is from SU and the stamp is from Inkadinkado. I hope you enjoy the finished product!

The Cuttlebug Challenge does Vintage
Here is another card for the challenge at http://www.thecuttlebugspot.blogspot.com/
I really like the way this card turned out! The card is cut with the SU Top Note die then attached to the base. I then inked and hand stitched it to age it. I used the SU Beautiful Butterflies die to cut the butterflies from cardstock and vellum, layering them to give them some dimension. All paper and stamped images are from SU. Hope you enjoy it!

I love this, it's so true!
When I received my SU order today this was on the box! How cute is that! I hope this is something that they continue doing because I think it's a great touch! It's the little things that make a difference.
The Cuttlebug Spot does Vintage!

This is the card I made for the Cuttlebug Challenge at http://www.thecuttlebugspot.blogspot.com/

I'll admit, I'm really a girl who likes a clean and simple look so it was difficult to make a vintage card. Not sure if I nailed it but here it is! I embossed my bottom layer and then sponged some ink on to make the image "pop" and to age it a little. I hand cut the flowers and then aged them also. I roughed up the edges of all my cardstock to add to the vintage look. The stamp set and embossing folder are both from Stampin' Up! I hope you enjoy the finished product!
